80 years of Blackbushe Airport - 11 June 2022

This year we are celebrating 80 years of flying from Blackbushe Airport. Blackbushe started life as a WW2 RAF Base, before evolving into London’s Second Airport, and then a hub for General Aviation and Business Aviation alike.

On Saturday 11th June 2022 we will be hosting an open day and fly-in to celebrate our 80th anniversary.

We are aiming to attract 80 visiting aircraft, including historical aircraft from Blackbushe’s past. There will be fun and games for all the family, with a static aircraft display, food, drinks, live entertainment, a history hub, and trade stalls.

Gates will open to the public from 11:00-17:00. After 17:00 there will be a party for airport residents and staff, as well as visiting aircraft pilots.
